Festival Art Souterrain

Chasing Ghosts brings together a collection of works created by the artist duo Diane Marissal and Jérémie Leblanc-Barbedienne. Through a combination of paintings and cut-out paper, the artists invite us to explore the subtleties of perception and memory. The exhibition’s title evokes this delicate quest: to capture the ungraspable, to pursue the traces of what eludes us—images or memories that haunt our imagination.

Since 2015, Diane Marissal and Jérémie Leblanc-Barbedienne have formed a duo where one’s literary and artistic influences blend with the other’s visual culture. In the exhibition space or public sphere, their colorful compositions unfold and expand through various mediums: editions, collages, paintings, modular works, and murals

Livart is a non-profit organization whose mission is to democratize access to art and culture. Located in a former presbytery in the Plateau-Mont-Royal, it includes a gallery, artists’ studios, a school, an event room and a shop.
